Island
Likes: -Backsplash. Love the color. Not sure if I'm brave enough to get it, only because we have an open layout floor plan; and I'm worried I wouldn't be able to change the colors in the surrounding areas if I use a light blue backsplash...? -Island color -Countertop color -Flooring -White cabinets -Paint Color
Likes: -I like the -X- over glass cabinet door on the left. Not sure if I can incorporate 2 glass cabinets like this in our new-build, though. -Can't decide if I want black hardware on the cabinets or not. -Still can't decide if I want dark grout in between the white subway tiles. This is definitely a modern-day farmhouse kitchen.
I like pieces of this: -Light fixtures are a good option...modern yet classic -Definitely considering black countertops on white cabinets as a viable option, though I'd still much prefer a lighter color. -Like the rug as a nice, not-too-stuffy piece; especially when they could have gone fancy and picked out a more formal floor covering. Thumbs up to that
LOVE the glass light fixtures I think the chandelier over the table is neat too, though I don't think it would work in my house.
Likes: -White cabinets -Window panel cabinet doors on just a few -dark wood countertop matches dark wood floors -glossy subway tiles. The tan color is a nice change from the white subway tiles that I like, and goes well with the mosaic part of the back splash -light fixtures are a little different from what I'd normally pick out, but they work nicely here. -I like the little pops of yellow.
-Like the look of a wood island countertop -Dark flooring with white cabinets is really growing on me. -Glossy white subway tiles is my favorite I think -Stools are different and the right size
More modern and easier to match the rest of the Great Room to.
Wonder if I could add a pair of legs to our island
Love the stools and the mirrored backsplash on the far wall! Chandeliers go really well with this kitchen
