Kitchen
These can be great if you have enough cabinet space. Look also at appliance garages on the same level as the counter. I'll send you a photo of Phil and Barb's. Again, I didn't have enough room in my kitchen for that.
Think about heavy duty drawers that pull out all the way. You think aren't splitting the space as much as shown in this pic - I think it gives you more flexibility of odd sizes, etc.
Like the bigger counter.
Like the grain and white - notice the spice drawers
Stove - That's an especially large and expensive cooktop. From my experience, they look good, but personally I don't think they're worth it. Mine is 36 inches wide, this photo shows a 48 inch one I'm sure. I have never run out of burner space. Also, consider what type you want. Are you sticking with gas? Convection makes for much easier cleanup and keeps the kitchen cooler - but lots of folks are set on gas. You need a major vent hood for one like this - and you'd want to be sure to get one that can be relatively quiet - the less money you spend, the noisier
I like the contrasting woods and love this wood island
