Echinacea purpurea is a perennial that flowers in summer. There is a great variety of colors: white, yellow, pink, red, orange. Plants with white and pink flowers are very strong and live many years; instead orange, red and yellow do not live more than two years; Royal Horticultural Society has started a study to select the most strong plants to secure a long lasting choice. ©Amandine Chevallier
