I experimented with various lighting effects in the shower before leaving it. My signature shafts of light add a little something to this space. There is a fashion for flat lighting just utilising basic HDR photography which can work for contemporary spaces but less so for spaces like this.

Generally I would not choose to shoot a corridor but this was such an unusual entrance to the bedroom and I could play with the lighting. It is a simple picture but again I have kept a theme of warm and cool throughout. Really though hats of the the client. All I had to do was potion the camera, move the vase, add a light to the bedroom and shoot

This is one of our favorite bits in the makeover of this family bathroom - the stunning round industrial mirror sitting in front of a tiled feature wall. We are also big fans of black taps, they give this bathroom a very contemporary look.

For an internal Guest WC we reutilised an antique 'Belfast' sink, from a redundant area . Warm copper hardware compliments the lovely warm wood panelling ( which is again a trompé l'oeil conceit of a clever wallpaper). Lovely overscale reclaimed wood wall lights punch up the macho wood 'library' feel. I love this cosy little room, The Royal Ballet poster hints at the owners profession. The layers in this bathrooms work perfectly to create a unique style. The timber, subway tile and black framed mirrors are simple ways to make features in this simple design.

A new en suite bathroom was added to the master bathroom to meet the expectations of our contemporary lifestyle. Again, austerely styled bathroom fittings with chrome finish were selected so as not to detract from the features of the original cottage. Large, glazed, cut edge tiles were used for both floor and walls, including the shower enclosure. This serves to unify the separate elements in this compact room. Similarly, the large wall mirror above the basin and wall-mounted counter creates the illusion of space.
