We have known William McMorran for more than twenty five years. When we developed a mews house from scratch in Central London William was the recommended and chosen architect. The completed house remains quite stunning and continues to be admired for the quality of design and finish by all our visitors. In 1995 the mews house was awarded a certificate by the Carpenters Company as runner up the the Glyndebourne Theatre in the Major Project Section. The Master of the Carpenters Company's quotation at the time was "as a highly commendable example of design, choice of timber, manufacture, installation, finish and behaviour in a major project". A highly significant and most worthy achievement. William was also instrumental in designing and supervising the construction of a first floor addition to a cottage in Wiltshire. Once again a most rewarding and efficient addition. It would be difficult for us not to praise most highly William's ability as a conceptual and sensitive architect. He has achieved in both London and Wiltshire everything we could have hoped for in aesthetically pleasing and liveable spaces. He has our highest recommendation

Oak Bridge at Etal Manor William McMorran provided an outstanding design concept based on the maker's previous experience of developing an outdoor Elliptic seat. William was directed on the offset angle and length required to straddle the stream and came up with a model which delighted the client. William recruited Price & Myers, as consultant engineers, who provided a flawed design based on wrong geometric principles, which William was able to identify during the build. Thanks to William's intellect and understanding of the problem he was able to guide Price & Myers through an evaluation of their failed design, and rectify the situation. A true professional. The bridge was made out of green and air-dried oak, supplied by Stuart H Somerscales Ltd, in Lincolnshire, from timber sourced in Herefordshire. The bridge was duly completed in 2009 and won the WoodAwards for best use of British Timber in that year. It was a challenging project in many ways, but William was there to guide me through the construction process and resolve issues as they arose with confidence. Will from Architectonicus guided us to achieve what we wanted. He listened to our needs and presented us with a number of options to convert a dark flat roofed area of the house. We now have a lovely adaptable space space that meets our family needs.
