POLL: Where do you have dinner?
Comments (12)We eat at the table in the dining room... TV is off while we eat enjoy our meal... And we communicate to each other... We was out the other day.. And five around the table were eating ... With their mobiles in one hand .there were ringing, vibration on the table.. Lots were looking at them.. I don't think that they said a few words to each other.. Parent were doing it to... !!! I think that they should be banned from the table.. So rude... I found have mine around .. But I would my upmost not to answer while eating... Unless I knew I was waiting for a call... They can wait... (Sorry rant over)....See MorePOLL: How often do you have ready meals?
Comments (5)Ready-made dinners have come a long way since the synthetically-filled, dubious-tasting, health-hazard products of the 80s and 90s (although I've at least survived into middle-age unscathed by the odd Findus Crisy Pancake!) Comments (17)I searched everywhere for a round extending glass table and eventually found this ingenious piece of engineering of an extending table. It extends into a large oval and I have seated upto 10 people around it . It cost a lot of money but I love it, only downside is it takes a lot to keep it looking sparkling clean. Also you can keep an eye on your guest and see if anyone is playing footsie under the table. I have moved several times with this table and it has fitted in perfectly in every home. It also gets a lot of ohh's and ahh's when you show people how it extends. It is worth every substantial penny I bought it for....See MorePOLL: How often do you have guests over?
Comments (8)We used to have friends over at least once a month but that has dwindled lately. I have to say though it is hard work with the cleaning and cooking and I normally spend hours choosing a menu whereby most of the food can be prepared in advance so I'm only in the kitchen for a few minutes. It also costs a fortune, there is always that worry that you'll run out of drink so we buy enough to stock a pub! Part of me thinks it's easier to go out for dinner to avoid the hassle but it is nice to be in your home so you can properly relax, talk as loudly as you want, play music etc and not rush to get on a train or something home...See MoreLove Shutters UK
