“We'd not seen ourselves as the type of people who could/would hire an architect, but after deciding on both a loft and garden extension along with kitchens and bathrooms for two flats AND a new garden studio we knew we needed desperate help. With a MA in Fine Art and long history in jewellery and graphic design I had a firm idea of the aesthetics for the flats but needed help with the logistics and endless tiny details. Sam has helped me consider aspects of the design I'd have never envisioned, helping to elevate the project to the next level and making the design for the flats not only beautiful but truly suited to the way we live. He takes the time to get to know his clients, making suggestions and questioning your preconceptions to really get to the heart of what you need in to make a home uniquely yours. With a focus on biophilia and sustainability he has also helped to source and purchase products for the project at a better rate, even going so far as to help me cut costs by recycling aluminium windows from a client who was discarding theirs due to their redesign to my studio. -above and beyond! There is no formulaic press of a button and delivery of generic plans like the the company we started using before Covid struck and they dropped off the face of the earth.
