Nicky worked with me on two domestic refurbishment jobs, she was able to work with the client behind the scenes to deliver clear specifications and products on time to the design team and builders. Everyone was pleased with the result fusing her interior design with our normal architectural offering. It always adds another great layer of quality and appeal.

We found Nikki on Houzz some years ago when we were first contemplating renovating our beautiful but very tired Georgian Manor House. She was a font of knowledge and practical suggestions. She recommended an architect, found us some wonderful builders, gently prodded us to make timely decisions having presented us with loads of ideas. She found colour schemes that suited our taste - which was so important; too often we see houses done very nicely but you know the owner didn’t have a huge hand in the decisions. Nikki very much helped and guided us. And now, after a longer time than either of us expected: the planning permissions, getting estimates, finding a builder we liked.. we have a gorgeous house that has new electrics, plumbing, insulation and finally is decorated in a way we love. So are we happy with Nikki? Absolutely.

Nicky has proved herself as an integral part of the team of architect, contractor & designer. She took time at the outset to understand the house & what I wanted as a client to create designs and themes for each room which work brilliantly as a whole. With all projects there are challenges which she met with both professionalism & good humour. She was also a pleasure to work with. The end outcome is a house beyond my expectations and which I am proud of and love living in.

We engaged a building company to join up a small bedroom on the second floor with the unused attic space. They built two large dormer windows and created a large bedroom/living area with purpose built storage. Nicky worked with us to decide on proportions for storage and how to lay out the space to get the best result. She also provided ideas for furnishings, lighting, tiles and wallpaper. This was all tied together by Roman blinds on the 3 windows- Nicky found the material then had them made for us. She is a pleasure to work with and we have been so happy with the end result, which is a light and peaceful space, with some unique design features.

Nicky is the first Interior Designer I got in touch with, and now (4 years later) she is still the first person I would go to if I would need any advice. Nicky is extremely talented, has a great eye for interiors and brings life into soulless rooms. Nicky is also very fun to work with, she is kind, funny and brightens up your day. I would highly recommend Nicky to anyone who is looking for an interior designer!

After becoming exasperated by various kitchen designers working for kitchen suppliers who don`t seem to listen, and just want to get as many units in as possible, we came across Nicky and booked a home visit. Within minutes we were impressed by her knowledge, ideas, and design flair, which of course could be applied to whatever kitchen unit supplier we decided to use. She also looked at how we use the room and how it linked in with the rest of the house, and gave us ideas for that too. We couldn`t recommend her highly enough and will certainly work with her again.

We are so pleased that we used the services of Nicky Percival’s interior design company. Nicky really guided us with our 15th century renovation in Rye. The rooms looks amazing and we couldn’t be happier. It was such a great experience from start to finish and really took all the stress out of choosing fabrics, colours and home furnishings. Engaging Nicky to help us with the interior design for our renovation of a Cottage proved to be an invaluable decision. Nicky’s approach to the interior design was warm, engaged and professional throughout. She made sure she understood clearly what we were after and helped us with the layout, colours, lighting and furnishings for the whole Cottage. We were bringing modern furniture with us, and she ensured that this melded well with the 18th Century Cottage by including more natural textures to ‘soften' the modern furniture. We particularly valued her commitment to understanding our ideas and preferences rather than simply imposing her own, but then guiding us to make positive, bolder decisions. The end result is a fantastic space that works incredibly well as a unified open-plan area and we are delighted with the results. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nicky to anyone.

Starting a home revamp at the start of the Pandemic was never going to be easy, and one which we would never have achieved so successfully (or at all!) without Nicky. Working with clients with little design experience, Nicky took time to understand how our busy family home functions and what we wanted to achieve from the process. Nicky worked with us to develop our 'vague ideas', often introducing new ones which took us out of our comfort zone, but which proved to be spot on and which we are delighted with! Nicky was a massive help sourcing and recommending materials, beautiful lighting, hard and soft furnishings and was able to draw on the services of professional craftspeople to carry out work for us to a very high standard. Nicky was so approachable, responsive and genuinely enthusiastic about our project. She made such a difference! We are delighted with our new look family home and would thoroughly recommend Nicky.

We'd lived in our Victorian (1865) terrace for over 2 years before understanding how we wanted to use the rooms. The house is packed full of original features, wooden floors, shutters, cornice, ceiling roses and windows and we were nervous about how we could bring it up-to-date while maintaining a traditional feel. Feeling a bit out of our depth we found Nicky on Houzz and invited her to come and give us some ideas. From the outset the process was exactly what we needed. Nicky was very keen to realise 'our vision' (albeit, it was a very sketchy one) rather than her own. Having said that she was quick to steer us away from the worst of our ideas, giving us confidence that the end result would be one we loved. Between us we were quick to narrow down on the kind of look we wanted and Nicky was a great help when it came to recommend and sourcing materials, accessories and reliable craftsmen to undertake the work. Nothing was too much effort. Initially focusing on just the hall, stairs and landing we subsequently engaged Nicky to help with the sitting room, dining room and a home office. The next stage of the project will be the bedrooms, and we wont hesitate in asking Nicky for further help when we get there. All-in-all it was a fun process and the end result is a beautiful home full of features that make us smile each time we see them.
