We did use marble in the shower walls and hex on the floor tiled over a tray. Re etching not too much w calacatta polished but Carrara honed yes (another bathroom) Re cleaning No limescale remover or bleach can be used or it is ruined! Hi there, We have an assortment of floor tiles that you could choose from! I'd recommend any colour that's darker than the wall tiles, as it should mean you won't find yourself constantly worrying about cleaning up after yourself.

Beautiful bathroom! Love your floor tiles. Our bathroom (mainly bathstore too!) was just finished a week and half ago in a black/white/grey colour scheme, a mix of classical and contemporary styles. I agree with what others have suggested about adding colour with plants (orchids maybe?), towels, bath mat and pictures but have you thought about painting the mirror cabinet unit? Annie Sloan chalk paint is great as coverage is good and no priming is required. Also colourful bottles of bath and shower gels, shampoo and conditioners can liven up a bathroom. Molten brown stuff or even decanting into ornate glass or ceramic bottles can add a touch of glamour to your bathroom.

I remember a friend once saying black tiles showed the dirt very easily and needed cleaning more often. All the images of the dark tiles show them used with a light coloured grout which would be needed to show the shape of the tile. I would go for a hexagonal shaped tile if that is what you like. Everything dates eventually. I think a brick tile pattern is now a bit dated. I think either of the lighter shades would look great
