Bedroom colour advice needed!
Comments (8)I have "inherited" a whole load of grey tester pots from my sister - all Farrow and Ball. Nice colours but I find they are thin and lack coverage. We are using Little Greene "Juniper Ash" in the hall (bedroom directly off this) - quality is gorgeous. I will check out that Dulux colour too. We'd been thinking of grey for the living room too - it is opposite the bedroom, both rooms at the front of the house. No doubt I will be posting more as we are doing up the whole house from scratch. At the moment thinking of "Dusted Moss 2" (Dulux) for living room (a Cornforth White lookalike) probably dark feature wall on chimney breast wall... I will post photos when I am back home!...See MoreNeed some advice for my student house bedroom approx. 9ft by 11ft
Comments (33)White or pale walls are ok, DOn't feel that the only way to decorate4 is by painitng the walls. Decide if you want white on white scheme, or a pop of colour. If so, cushions and curtains are the way to go. Decide on a colour and stick to it. TRy the 70-20-10 rule where your 70 is white4 (your walls) and 20 is curtqains and cushions and 10 is a secondary colour such as gold or silver for hardwaqre and ornaments and presto you're done....See MoreDo I absolutely have to have radiators in the bedrooms?!
Comments (10)I’d definitely have them. Re-sale might be an issue later plus heat travels to cold areas so the rest of the house will feel cooler without them. Fitting them at a later date may be more difficult / could result in having pipework on show - although you have said you’re in the final stages of the work. Radiators, or at least the pipework for them, would usually be fitted at an earlier stage of renovation so fingers crossed it can still be done without having to cause more upheaval....See MoreHelp needed to redesign master bedroom, en- suite and dressing room
Comments (4)Hi Emily, here are some pictures This is the corridor, we have tried to show the step back between the two walls, there is 877mm behind the mirrored doors. This is the end of the bedroom we proposed moving the bathroom to This end is where we thought the dressing area could go, blocking the first door from the corridor. We have taken down the stud wall that used to divide the room. En-suite which we proposed combining with corridor to make bedroom with door from landing at far end of en-suite. Any ideas would be gratefully received as we are going round in circles with our ideas. Thanks Amanda...See MoreIsla Cherry
