shelley Aww it took me 6 years to convince him for the some colours and amazingly he loved the teal colour and mustard colour more. I just needed a little of your advice on the other wall colour teal with a grayish colour I think but am not too sure which grey. One or two lamps would definitely look very at home on that beautiful sideboard. Although I agree larger would most definitely be better just be careful on the size you plump for in the end. I would just restore it. It is beautiful and painting it would be sacrilege in my eyes. If it were a country style pine unit then painting it would be the way to go, but not a mid century piece. Do you ever watch Salvage Hunters on Quest channel? They rarely paint anything, just carefully clean and restore it and then sell it on. Sometimes less is more.
