Fleur Ward Interior Design

Fleur was the interior designer for our whole house rebuild and refurb. She was involved from before the building and refurb works started and until we moved in after 14 months of works. Fleur immediately understood and intuited our families vibe and how we wanted to live and was a perfect fit for us as a family who loves pattern, colours, texture and art. She proposed schemes that were stylish and high-end design concepts whilst also encompassing fun and life as well as beautiful textures and accents. Each room has a distinct character whilst being part of a cohesive whole. Fleur was involved at all stages- electrical plans, bathroom and kitchen designs, whole room layout and decorative schemes. She liaised with the builders/ electricians/ plumbers/ decorators in a timely manner so that everything progressed smoothly, Fleur understood the importance of budget and gave us options as well as making tweaks expertly and patiently when budgetary constraints inevitably hit as the build went on. She made changes without compromising overall style and vision. Fleur extended our vision and experience with regards to colours/ textures/ fabrics and the finishes are superb. The last couple of months of our project were in the first lockdown of Covid and Fleur negotiated supply issues, needing to change contractors (eg upholsterers, carpet suppliers) with great determination and tenacity. When some contractors couldn’t fulfil orders due to covid she found alternatives and made sure we didn’t lose deposits and also no significant delays occurred. We have a home that is our sanctuary and which is beautiful as well as comforting and stylish as well as inviting and sociable and fit for purpose for a busy family of 5. Really couldn’t recommend Fleur more!

Fleur was heaven-sent to us! My husband and I purchased our forever home, settling in East London after several years of living all over Europe. Once we decided to permanently lay down roots, we made the decision to invest in a designer to assist us in creating our sanctuary. BEST decision we have ever made. We have collected art throughout our travels and have acquired many family heirlooms, all of which we wanted incorporated within our home, albeit in a contemporary way. I interviewed several designers and kept walking away uninspired. No one seemingly understood what vibe I was going for in our home. This is where Fleur arrived for us, like a breath of fresh air. From the first call with Fleur, there was instant chemistry. Fleur was able to focus on the most important aspects of what we wanted, which was to “start with the art” and curate our real-life stuff into a beautifully crafted home. My husband and I had found a piece of fabric at the design centre that we loved, and I gave that small snippet to Fleur. Between that small scrap of fabric and our art collection, she created a vision board for each room that was our dream brought to life. She connected to a vision that was just a small whisper of a thought in my mind and curated a home that has gone beyond what I could have imagined. On a technical side, Fleur was brilliant at maintaining options to keep within our budget and sourcing out unique and speciality touches that made our home bespoke. Fleur’s eye for design, rhythm, patterns, and colour is truly a gift. How she layers a room to provide warmth and depth is breathtaking. Everyone that comes into our home comments on how much it reflects who we are as a couple as well as how charming, cosy, and inviting it is. None of this would have been created if we had not engaged Fleur’s services.

From the moment, we started working with Fleur on the Wimbledon project, it was clear to see that she had both a clear vision for her clients and a keen attention to detail, both fundamental in designing and commissioning bespoke furniture. Fleur was very calm and collected in the face of the incredibly difficult Covid-19 circumstances - she was understanding of setbacks and worked tirelessly to get the best service and product for the clients. Above all, her approachability and positive outlook have made her a pleasure to work with. We can't wait for the next project!

Fleur is an absolute delight. She has a wonderfully cheeky sense of humour and style. I went a bit wild with my ideas of colour and texture and pattern, wanting a bit of everything. Fleur sourced a lot of perfect pieces, from lamps and light fittings to quirky shelves and stunning rugs. I would not hesitate to recommend her and if she wants to drop by for a cup of tea or a cocktail, she would be welcome at any time.

As a decorating company, it's always a pleasure to work with Fleur. Not just because of her calm professionalism but also because of the style and finesse she brings to projects. She has an excellent eye for colour, design and detail which, combined with her vivacious personality, makes her a joy to work with.

Fleur took a blank white canvas and made the most amazing window seat or as she described a "book nook". From start to finish Fleur was the upmost professional, she kept me informed of everything along the way, paying attention to every detail during the process (i.e. giving ideas of colour for the piping for the window seat). She chose such unique wallpaper which compliments her idea of a book nook and the fabric she recommended works amazingly well with my young children. She recommended two different companies, one to hang the wallpaper and one to bespoke design the seat and to fit it. It was a rather large space to fill and not an easy task. I absolutely love what Fleur has done.

Fleur has fantastic vision and wonderful taste. She helped us redecorate and redesign our entire main floor and first floor. Our house looks gorgeous now! We are absolutely delighted with the end result. We were very involved in the process with Fleur from start to finish as that is what we wanted. She could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Fleur sourced and showed us samples and mood boards/ideas/visions, and we then worked together to get to the end result. She helped us stick to our budget and find qualified tradespeople who she had worked closely with on previous jobs. She also made very helpful suggestions as to how we could redesign the layout of rooms in order to use the space most efficiently. She was a delight to work with.

We have collaborated with Fleur on several projects to create gorgeous bespoke rugs that perfectly complement her stunning interior schemes. A particular favourite is the Abstract rug (shown here) in greys, blues and coppers created for this living area. The room is elegant and sophisticated and the rug just added that extra 'wow' factor. As well as a glowing personality, Fleur has excellent attention to detail and a great eye for colour and pattern. We look forward to working together again the future.

We worked with Fleur on a couple of her recent projects supplying bespoke curtains and blinds for the Millar and Goldsmith residences. We love her friendly, professional attitude and keen attention to detail. With designs like hers, we’d happily have her work on all our own homes!
