About Us

ON&ON® is a British shelving company that has created a new type of shelving system, a made to measure adjustable system perfect for any modern home. Our shelving comes up to 5 metres in length, is cut to any size, can be combined with under shelf lighting, cabinets, desks and clothes hangers. These parts will help organise your clothes and wardrobes but will also help you create a workspaces. If you are interested in finding out more just email us or take a look at our website for more information. We wanted our shelving to be a real part of our home, something that would be part of our own aesthetic, straightforward and uncomplicated, rather than an after thought or awkward addition to our spaces. This is how we started ON&ON, building wall shelving over the years for our own flats and homes, creating something that really works which fits functionally and aesthetically for the people that live there. We only sell direct to the customer allowing us to control the quality and service down to the smallest detail. Our made to measure shelving system is designed to create long clean uncluttered lines, ideally suited to alcoves and running from wall to wall. Our straightforward approach to design combines an innovative system with an uncomplicated aesthetic. If you’re interested in finding a happy balance between cost, quality and service, we may be the best solution for all your shelving. We do this via phone, email or site visit where we provide drawings, samples and costs to ensure the design is perfect for you. You can now meet us in Clerkenwell at Forbo’s London showroom. There are several sizes and types of shelving on display but we also have a full set of samples and finishes available for viewing. On&On Shelves are fantastic, the service was great and installation was fuss-free. I started my search with a rival German brand, very similar but also very industrial looking; they felt a bit too functional in my Edwardian home. I stumbled across On&On through a google search, filled in an online form and before I knew it, Kirsty had done a mock-up and costing, sent me some samples (recycled aluminium!), and moving through to deposit and installation dates was really easy from there. We decided to pay for installation as the walls and floors in our house are a bit wonky and within 2 hours of Tim arriving I was unpacking our books. Tim tells me On&On are going to be producing a wider range of items so I will be back in touch when I finally sort out my dressing room. Use with confidence - I actually asked to write a review as I was so impressed!

We had our shelves installed this morning after having worked closely with Kirsty on what our needs were. The customer service that we received was excellent. I was particularly drawn to the company because it homegrown and has a sustainable ethos. I will include photographs at a later stage once we have filled the shelves.

Recently purchased a set of shelves for my home office. Everything about the product and service was excellent. Kirsty in the studio was really helpful and responsive with the design any questions we had and keeping us informed on delivery,etc. The packaging was brilliant everything arrived in perfect order. Fitting guide and instructions were easy to follow. The final outcome looks fantastic. Definitely recommend and will use again

These shelves are really special. In my experience, there's nothing quite like them elsewhere on the market. They are excellent in terms of both appearance and practicality. Having a large number of books, many of them very heavy, I needed a system that could cope. I sent some schematic drawings to Tim, who converted them into plans. After a few adjustments, and with helpful advice, we settled on the final layout. Tim came in person to do the installation. He was meticulous in his work and clearly committed to the highest standards. I gather that the ON&On range will shortly be augmented with doors; I may well go back to order some of these for another room in the house.

We discovered On&On when I googled "modular shelving", it was almost by accident that I clicked on an article in which On&On were featured, and it grabbed my attention immediately. We were able to arrange a visit to the workshop in St Albans where Tim showed us the various parts of the system and the wide choice of finishes available. After we sent through measurements of our living room and spare room walls and a sketch of what we were after, On&On provided drawings and a quote within a day and an installation date within a month. Installation was a breeze, Tim did it himself as we live nearby. He took great care in making sure it was installed with precision. The real thing lives up to the online photography completely. It has immediately transformed our rooms. The shelving is chic, the aluminium design gives it substance whilst the uprights from which they are cantilevered are unobtrusive, making it seem like the whole system is floating. We very gladly recommend On&On.

Ordered a set of custom built shelving from ON&ON. The process from start to finish was exceptional, including providing custom drawings of the shelves, fast delivery and simple installation instructions. Installation took about 1 hour and can be done solo, with only a helper needed to lift the (3.3m) shelf onto the brackets. Shelves are excellent quality and look stunning in situ. Everyone comments on both the design and build quality! Would highly recommend ON&ON for anyone looking to purchase custom shelving.

I had been looking for months for shelves for both my home office and a spare bedroom. The work that On&On did in the office was exemplary. The ordering was clear, easy and efficient. Shortly after that Tim arrived to put the shelves up and I was absolutely thrilled. So thrilled that as a result I asked them to supply another set of shelves for a spare room. As with my office, the two different shelving units have transformed the room. The quality of the product is stunning; neat, good looking and robust and is matched to the professionalism and efficiency of the On&On team. Really, look no further for shelving, On&On have nailed it for me, so to speak!
