I'm putting a design together for a new kitchen layout. Currently it is in an L shape, with a door going straight outside. This door is on the side of the house and it people can see straight into the kitchen which I'm not a huge fan of.
What I have done is put a small utility in the bottom of the L, however in the mornings, a lot of light comes through the side door and into the kitchen. Putting a utility in would block out all the light.
Therefore I have come up with the idea of putting a glass door on the utility to let the light into the hall, and I want to put an interior window on the wall in red to let the light into the kitchen.
The key here though is to come up with something that will let light in, and keep eyes out - so I was thinking frosting, however I'm just wondering if anyone had any other ideas.
Also - is it a little odd to have the utility door not off the kitchen? The only reason I opted for this is that otherwise, there would essentially be 3 doors in a row along the back wall which could look a bit odd.
