You can use side panels or a deck/surround to create what is, in effect, a free standing bath that would work well aesthetically and, optionally, as part of a wetroom-style bathroom. Deep soaking tubs are especially effective for such projects; they have smaller footprint, which affords more room in the shower area, but their greater depth makes them exceptionally comfortable.

Softwood requires maintenance, and if you do not have the time to keep it good looking, we recommend you go for composite decking, such as Millboard. We have also seen some amazing transformation with Millboard Composite Decking, as it requires very little maintenance, it has good slip-resistance, it doesn't age, and can be used in damp areas as well - such as pool surrounds. Hi there, I'm planning to build some similar fencing next year for my garden although won't require as much as yourself I did some pricing up. Just using the upright batons which will be screwed to the wall, no framing, horizontal slats fixed to the uprights and no paint or stain finish. I think I worked it out at about £40 per 6ft x 6ft panel although it could have been for 2 (haven't got my notes to hand). This was using tanalized timber from Wickes. All depends on how they'll be supported. You could ask a local joiner or landscaper for a quote as they will likely have trade discounts but will charge for labor costs.

New Girl thank you for your lovely kind comments. I did Click & Collect so paid ahead and then collected the paint. I’ve just checked my local stores, nearest one in Letchworth, Herts, and many of them have about 8 cans per store, so is your store telling porkies? I would research any paints you buy as paying more doesn’t always mean better quality. Silver Birch was one I considered and it does look lovely. Good luck!
