Bathroom lighting

Is it possible to install outdoor lighting in a bathroom? I cannot find any bathroom light fittings that would look right in a 17th century cottage. Everything looks modern or tacky! Outside light fittings are ip44 rated so should they be ok?

Also if you struggle to find something to your taste in the bathroom light section, take a look at outdoor lights as they tend to be more industrial in style and they will all be IP rated.
