We've come to our third and FINAL Christmas competition, so this is your last chance to win a delicious Christmas hamper from Fortnum and Mason.
Apart from food and family, the Christmas tree is for many, the most important ingredient for a festive celebration. So to enter this competition, all you need to do is UPLOAD A PHOTO of your tree. It doesn't matter if it's fake, real, eclectic, traditional or a work in progress - as long as it's a Christmas tree, we want to see it! A winner will be drawn at random.
The competition will run from Monday 15th December until midnight on Monday 22nd December, with the winner picked the following day. See Terms and Conditions attached for further details:

11 years agoOur family tree is a combination of old and new. Most decorations have been used year after year, including Christmas decorations my brother, sisters and I made at school when we were young. Now grown up, we sit around the tree and reminisce of these wonderful memories past with the addition of two very special boys - my nephews. New decorations have been added to remember those we have lost, two specially placed decorations in remembrance of my nanny and grandad who are deeply missed especially during Christmas time, an occasion they loved to share with their friends and family. Have a magical Christmas.

I also have supplied homes that I regularly visit with fine bone china mugs. Tea does not taste the same out of pottery. Comments (64)We have a fake tree that my husband bought for £20 in the Woolworths closing down sale over a decade ago when our real one shed 90% of its needles within 24 hours of us buying it. This tree has seen us through 2 children and 3 cats; only one of which climbed it as a kitten. It’s thinning and requires lots of fluffing and padding out each year but we love it and it’s covered in ornaments from every year and everywhere....See More- 11 years agoWe've recently moved into our new home and the tree came with it, it's a pity some decorations didn't too. - 11 years agoHere's our mid-century inspired tree. Favourite decorations are the gold atomic starbursts and the silver airstream caravan complete with bottle-brush tree on top of it.

11 years agoBeing a textile designer I love all the fabric decorations - knitted jumpers & gloves, felt hearts and stuffed animals, anything with texture really. Lots of the decorations have special memories either made or chosen by my children over the years (with a bit of colour scheme guidance from Mum of course). I'm sure I will buy a few more for next year.

- 11 years agoNo tinsel in sight but lots of glitz and memories. The first bauble bought thirty five years ago from Fortnums London, to the most recently purchased from donated Oxfam Truro.
Ps the dog was a great help .

11 years agoMy Christmas tree is an eclectic mix of memories and every decoration has a story to tell. My husband and I play the game every year, "where we get this one". It is so much fun and now take us a week to complete decorating.
- 11 years agoEvery year I think I will choose a theme or a colour for our Christmas tree. Every year we just keep adding bits and pieces until there's no room for anything else. So I accept that there will never be a theme or a colour scheme and I'm totally happy with that. By the way, we still have enough decorations left over to fully decorate another tree. Someday I will live in a house big enough to have two trees. Happy Christmas!

11 years agoMy tree is special to me, in the fact that has so many things like that represent my family and me. I am reminded of my dad, an avid hunter, in the deer and birds, whereas the berries and flowers remind me of my mother. Christmas is my favorite time of the year!
- 11 years agoWe love decorating our tree and it definitely defines Christmas in our house. We started with a couple of cheap sets of baubles as a young couple, and every year we pick up some new individual and carefully selected decorations.. Now we love remembering where we were when we bought the various decorations and also love seeing the ones our little girl has lovingly made on the tree too :-)
- 11 years agoSadly our family are well known for having the ugliest tree EVERY year - always filled with 31 years of my children's handmade ornaments and the ugliest baubles EVER which they refuse to allow me to throw out! Here is a picture of last year's (it seems to have an extra tree growing out of the top!) Hmmm - this one was actually one of our better ones. We still haven't picked this year's - I dread it! A hamper would really cheer us up!
11 years agoHere are two of my Christmas trees, I have a tree decorated in each room the colours always co ordinate with the room to give that extra look, I always have all the family around at this time of year so I like it to feel special as it builds memories for them for years to come.
11 years agoSome great trees on here - puts mine to shame. The first pic is my tree - just moved into a new home and money is tight so it's a cheap fake one that I hope to one day downgrade to a corner of the dining room. It was decorated rather haphazardly by my husband and two-year-old.
The other pics are of my best friend's tree, which is very unusual. Her dad used birch trees he had cut down to create a tangle of branches all along the windows of their conservatory. It's now tradition for loads of friends and family to all go round and decorate it together.
11 years agoOur tree is an eclectic mix of decorations that have been collected over the years. Some even belong to my great grandmother. So many memories are associated with the decorations, and remind me of family that are no longer here. I buy a new decoration every year and try and get my son to make one too!

11 years agoThis is only the second Christmas in our house, so last year we bought a lot of cheap baubles and each year we've bought a few more expensive, individuals decorations. Hopefully, one year, all the cheap, supermarket bought baubles will be gone!! To me, christmas is gold, red and green. It's such a shame it's so difficult to buy traditional green decs nowadays, instead of lime. As a result, my tree is just red and gold.
I spent two months scouring shops and the internet for an angel I liked; dolls and their faces freak me out!!!!
- 11 years agoHere's my tree. Local family, have been using them for years. Set in our conservatory which now has a real roof, so we can use it all year round.

11 years agolast modified: 11 years agoA tree full of family memories (so many memories that we've had to buy a bigger tree!)….each single decoration has a special personal meaning or one that has been passed down from our long-gone family members. It's a wonderfully thought provoking tree to look at & get lost in lovely memories.
By the way, our 20 year old velvet 'Santa' on the top of the tree is wittily called 'Charlton', because he's the spitting image of Charlton Heston in the film 'The 10 Commandments'!
- 11 years agoThis is the first year we decided to get a Christmas tree as I thought it would be fun for my 3 year old son help decorate.
We made glitter stars out of off cuts of wallpaper. A peg star (glued together with a glue gun), glitter pine cones, handmade bunting, and some Pom Pom strung together.
It's kept him busy and he's looking forward to next year already! The tree is from Amazon so it will be the tree that keeps on giving year after year.
We gave the lights a miss as I also have a 1 year old who likes to chew anything in sight.
I'm a huge fan of Fortnums as well!
11 years agoDecorating the tree is always the beginning of something special in our house. Nothing eases the stresses and strains of planning like rummaging through the boxes looking for that special, favourite bauble. We all have our own and each of the children have theirs too. These 3 are my favourite; baby Jesus for our son James, white first Christmas bauble for our daughter Sophie and Rudolph for Mummy & Daddy. Merry Christmas everyone.
