Very nice - I like how you repeat the circular shapes with the wallpaper and the chandelier and the lamp base. It's a nice juxtaposition to all the horizontal lines.

Hi Victoria. Other shots of the room would help to see the space and wardrobes. I would spend some time looking through pics of bedrooms on Houzz and set up an Ideabook of styles that you like. The bed is a traditonal design so I would keep it fairly Classic. Some colour and different textures will warm it up. What colours do you like and which way does the room face in terms of light? Perhaps wallpaper to add pattern or a throw and cushions. I'm not suggesting the style of room pictured above but it might be nice to have an upholstered chair in the corner by the window unless you need storage? For the bedside cabinet I would go for something on long legs to keep the feeling of space. If you want a rug then keep it in similar tones to the floor, again for space.

Hi Sonia. Do you have existing furniture to work around or are you buying new? If you go for the neutrals I think you just need to add lots of different textures to add the warmth. If in budget I'd go for a wood floor as that will add warmth immediately but if not add at least one piece of furniture, antique or antique looking might look good. Some gold accents will also add warmth such as mirror, light fitting, picture frame etc. table lamps also give the cosy feel and would add faux stems or flowers and if you have the room a chair. If you want to use the blue perhaps consider using with pale stone'ish coloured walls but adding a blue chair, cushions and perhaps in a curtain pattern but again with some gold, wood etc. You could also add a feature wallpaper such as grasscloth or faux wood panelling etc

Hi, As most people have already pointed out, a good design isn't just about one element like the wallpaper. It is about creating layers and balancing the elements correctly. I too think your gold could work perfectly well with the other walls, carpet and furniture, but you now need to layer accessories/soft furnishings and create a great balance that brings the scheme to life. One of the major problems with the space is the large 'gap' you have about the headboard. It may feel like it's the papers fault but you are just processing the gap as being uncomfortable.. Fill it with a mirror, art work or (I like the idea of) the fabric panel.. And this will make the room feel instantly more comfortable and inviting.. Add a few layers of cushions and you will have a great space. Keep us posted and best of luck, Gina
