Thank you for your reply. Yes it is a modern house so want to keep it simple. Privacy isn't a problem but it is nice on a winters evening to shut the dark out. I have saved the page.
Just another thought, consider in your landscaping (if you can) planting a copse of white silver birch (paper) Betula Papyrifera far away and uplighting. That way you will have a focual point that leads the eye outwards even when in winter nights.
That's really interesting! We already gave a screening of 7 or so silver birch, so perhaps I can keep the windows in the living area clear. Many thanks for your insight! Perhaps has saved me a bit on my budget!
