Bathroom upgrade -replace old or new tiles?
Comments (3)Even if you find the same tiles, I doubt they would be identical. I would probably splurge for new tile in the entire bathroom. If that is not an option, you could replace only the tile in the actual shower with an accent or something that really pops. Use that colour for the accents in your bathroom as well! If you decide on the latter, I would just be sure that the tiles you choose for the shower are a different shape from the ones in the remainder of the bathroom. That way it will really stand out. Comments (4)It’s an agonising debate, isn’t it? Which style should you choose and should the period of the property be the leading influence? I think you’ve struck just the right balance by opting for the clean and contemporary handleless cabinetry and adding extra features to the room itself to add extra personality. Getting the layout and design right is definitely the first and best place to start - there are kitchens to suit every price point but you can make a lower budget kitchen look expensive with great design and accessorising, which you’ve really achieved here. And who wouldn’t have taken that cooker with them - love that colour!...See MoreHow to fix my push in flusher on my very old toilet system
Comments (3)Have you tried putting the narrower end of the spring into the bit which is still in the cistern, then the wide end of the black piece onto the spring, and finally the push button onto that? I’m guessing you’d need some glue somewhere in there or the button won’t stay on the middle piece, but worth testing it first. I can’t tell from the picture, but is the button on top of the cistern, or on the front? Gravity might make it more challenging if on the front! If you can’t get it to work, you may be able to get a new part without needing the replace the whole cistern....See MorePeeling bathroom paint
Comments (2)I absolutely agree with Sarah. The wall was damp when painted. i had a similar problem in my bathroom so I bought Peel Stop and prepared the wall by peeling as much paint off as possible, sanding it down and then I painted 3 coats of Peel Stop before painting. I also had a decent extractor fan fitted. it was not a good job to do but I eventually solved the problem, and I don’t have a window in my bathroom either....See More- 11 years ago
