If you put the hexagons on the wall it could be too busy because they're so small. In this situation I'd recommend the hexagons for floor and plains for wall. The floor would also provide more grip with the small hexagons. Next time you'd like to use hexagons I'd recommend bigger hexagon tiles like these

How lovely to have a porch! I love the hexagonal ones. To prevent them being dazzling, and make it more of a 'designed' feature, you could have a border of plain black tiles - to match the door - then the hexagonal tiles would have the look of a rug on a plain black floor.

I am the opposite and have being trying to find matte 'marble' tiles and the places I have been looking only seemed to have gloss! I found a company called Total Tiles that sell both matte and glossy versions. They seem very reasonable in price but I haven't ordered a sample yet. Worth a look as they had various different 'marble' types.
