Trying to decide on new windows as I don't really like the dark brown. Any suggestions on colour and style? Garage doors will be changed to suit. Thinking maybe dark grey.

Hi, If you want to go bold, I'd go all the way, I like the green posted above, but I also think a vibrant teal sort of colour could work if you are going bright. I'd prefer to keep the door a more subtle tone, the two colours (amongst the many other colours which would work) which I liked were a cream or a soft green. I've attached (not very good, so fiddly when using your phone) mock ups, in terms if colour, not so much to the design it self but double bonus points if you do like them. Good Luck

We did think about extending the parquet floor but i fear we will be unable to get a decent match - the existing floor has been down for about 60 years and has been sanded and treated a number of times so it has a fairly unique character. Really appreciate the suggestion. Wil give it some more thought.

Thanks for all the advice offered I have been walking around and looking at front doors and taking onboard all the advice you have all given. Helen P - I am now reconsidering a Painswick coloured front door as all the houses that do not have white windows seem to look better if the front door colour matches the windows (in my opinion, from what I have seen). I will look at a modern Painswick door too. Sarah L - I like the horizontal lines on the front door, I'll probably use that as this will then match with our internal doors. HU-580662978 - I have looked at the accessories (no door knocker for us). colourhappy - you're right; the door to one side and a larger piece of glass instead of two sidelights looks more modern.
