Hi Nayem, I'm afraid it's quite impossible to tell you which off white would be best for your room. The same colour can look very different in different rooms since the natural light changes the way we see colours. And the natural light is different in every room (depending on how much natural light your room has, is the room north/east/south/west facing, etc). The only way to get the colour right is to buy sample pots and paint a small section of the wall with different colours. Then study how the colours looks like at different times of a day and see which one you like best. If you are not sure where to start, start with Dulux Grey Steel 3 and Grey Steel 4. That should give you a good starting point. Whatever you do, stay away from any cream colours (magnolia etc) when you are looking to create a Scandinavian style look. Kati

I used to have Farrow and Ball Old White in a previous home and it looks like a very similar colour. I thought it was a very sophisticated neutral. Of course you can get Decorating Centres to mix this shade up for you so you don’t have to use a Farrow and Ball Paints if you prefer something more wipeable

Hi Kate, You could just embrace the dark side! Some battles are not worth fighting. We have a north facing living room too. One wall is almost entirely glass, but it's still the darkest room in the house. It had a very gloomy feel when we moved in a few years ago and we would have to put the lights on during the day even though it was a bright off white colour, but I've since painted it a dark slate grey. Now it looks great. It has a very cosy feel. I've brightened it up with pops of colour, lighting and mirrors. So sometimes I think its okay to accept that its never going to be a bright room and just add lots of artificial lighting to brighten it up. It also gives you the excuse to try out a deep rich colours which you might never have considered before!
