Hi Brittany! So glad you're asking about this! Lighting is something so underestimated in interior design, and in particular bathrooms. I'm a bathroom designer for Bathroom Eleven so perhaps I can offer some tips! Secondly, as a general rule, I always factor in two things for Bathroom Lighting - Task and Mood lighting. Ceiling LEDs give a great, bright, broad lighting cover for your bathroom meaning its perfect for practical day to day uses. However, at the end of the day, when you're wanting to relax - or for those midnight trips to the loo! - it's really nice to factor in some softer lighting. Under vanity unit LED's, soft wall lights, plinth lights, illuminating recess, or mirrors - all these things offer you that secondary lighting option that can really lift your bathroom! Definitely had a glass shade. What your looking for is a replacement with a neck so the lip sits on top of the screws.
