Hi Shariff, Your problem is a common one, and luckily there are loads of solutions available. What about a sheer Roller blind? This will offer daytime privacy, and you could layer with curtains if you'd like something cosier for the evenings. Alternatively, Voile Roman blinds are made from a thin, un-lined fabric which has the same effect as Rollers but with a slightly more luxurious finish. As Jen says, blinds with slats are good for day and nighttime privacy too - Verticals, Venetians and Wooden blinds all fit the bill brilliantly. There are quite a few roller blind companies online now that have a large range of textured fabrics with free sample service. Even some lovely ones in Dunelm! I would go for roller. I’ve done that in our bedroom as the windows are high and in a recess so can’t have curtains and want to let as much light in during the day as possible.

Ideas desperately needed for how best to achieve privacy to our new build 4.5m x6 m 1st floor flat, which is far more visible to opposite buildings than we thought. We have curtains going around the mezzanine bedroom for now… but any stylish solution ideas welcome. Would be a shame to frost the whole thing, but maybe no other options?
