I love how you've kept the character alive in a tasteful eclectic mix. I think you may like a splash of colour in the bathroom by adding a canvas roman blind in a bold teal with a coordinating runner rug and some luxurious towels. A wall mounted rack for folded towels above the loo, will interrupt the monotone of the wall as may a plant or some. Also some woven floor baskets or quirky toiletpaper or magazine container to add interest.

Although I have a selection of knitted, woollen and fleece throws I have to admit that my favourite is a cellular blanket which is a wonderful reminder of childhood. It's like having a grown-up blankie!

Monica Gale 20:28 Prav I think the reason for that is that its all you are looking at right now. You need some height on those tables and a few other things, then it could all fall into place. My only thought regarding the tables being orange is longevity. If you keep them fairly neutral you can change the colour in the future a lot easier. Here's a poor shot of my living room. That dark cabinet grounds the space beautifully. It works really well to have bit of black in every scheme. Try it first then if you still do not like it then I guess you could paint them.

lovely room, I must admit I would just “throw” the throw over the bed! Not sure about teal with pink/grape and a splash of red? I added the red cushion as it’s got a teal trim. You could get a White quilt and layer a throw or find a pink one. The one I used was 260 so it won’t drape all the way though if that’s what you want
