help positioning furniture in awkward living room please
Comments (3)You should consider how you place every single item in the room, not just the large pieces. For example, placing the rug so that it runs across the floorboards, as opposed to along the length of them, will improve the flow of space. I think that a larger rug would actually work better too! Comments (6)Hi minnie101. Thank you. No they don't need a rising chair. It's just I don't think they ever had one so would like it in the new home. Chair lifts are not possible either as they won't like that and currently the mobility is not that bad. The sofa bed is for the occasional night which will be more frequent than the use it gets when people have guests over. I did look at the scandi chair and liked the look but it's not what they want unfortunately. Thank you though. I'll have to just try and find some sets that will work together. Sofa beds are hard to find as most have a very thin 6mm mattress. There is the Mayne corner sofa from made.com which has a good bed but it doesn't look so great esp in the customer pics on their website. Has anyone had experience of this sofa? Comments (33)Yes happy with them for now Carolina. Cushions are easy to change and i have learnt you can create so many different looks and styles just by changing cushions. I am sure my local cushion shop will be pleased to see me again when i get bored with them....See MoreOpen plan living room layout...opinions please
Comments (5)I think that the old layout is better for maximising space and really allowing room and light. Now that you have a smaller table so the space looks neater, you can reposition the big sofa along the wall (put the longer side to the wall by the table). I have attempted () to draw "before and after" layouts for you. Tell me what you think. Best regards, J...See More- 11 years ago
