Trunk as coffee table

Hi there I'm not sure if this trunk as a coffee table works in living room can anyone assist please

I like the trunk and the room but personally and only as you've asked (!) i would go for something square. Maybe try it so it's lined up with the fireplace to see how that looks. It definitely doesn't look bad or anything though! It could look nice up against the left edge of the right sofa but i cant see the whole room

thank you for the comment I do sometimes put the sofa on that back wall but because part of that wall juts out the sofa is offset and close to the door which looks horrible and if pulled away from wall the other door clashes on it and traffic flow is awkward so does not work and ends up back as pic. very large sofa width and deepth.

A round coffee table would work well to pick up on the circular shapes already in the room such as the ceiling roses and even the curves on the new sofa arms. We have a customer that's had these sofa's recently and we went for a scandi style. I think to make it look symmetrical you need to do a bit of moving about and it can look fantastic.
I had had the same issue and did a bit of moving about. Try to remove the carpet underneath as it looks busy with it and takes the focus away from the table.
I would also add some colour on the table, like small green pots and add a few books to complement the colour scheme.

Well our taste is individual and if you think it's working then it's working. :) send us pictures after rearranging.

We also have a trunk as coffee table. We covered with a glass, not to damage the trunk itself, and added some trolley wheels…we just love it!
