Two new bathroom designs, help please!
Comments (9)Everyone, thank you so much, this has been really useful! A few responses: 1) I'd intended putting open shelves to the right of the ensuite shower. 2) The bathroom designer put the main bathroom sink in the alcove like some of you... 3) I don't want a bidet, sorry! 4) The main view of bathroom is from left as that is the top of the stairs. 5) Not sure about curved bath, need to fit two toddlers in! Will think about bath next to window though as it would give more space to kneel washing said toddlers. 6) The ensuite currently has sink under window and toilet to right but hard to access cupboards where I have put open shelving. Apart from that it works well so not sure about messing with something that works! Thanks again, will talk over with hubby!...See Morebathroom design help
Comments (15)@kwg - no problem at all and it’s a really good point. We have a 4 year old who has no problem with showers but I must admit the prospect of another one coming along is the only thing giving me pause. One of my friends has a small plastic bath tub for her pre-toddler as they only have a shower and works well. For our current lifestyle a shower is definitely my preference but I have that slight nagging feeling as to whether I will rue the day we got rid of another does arrive! On the other side of things - my father is the man that will be doing all the fitting (fitter by trade) so if we do realise it was a mistake will not cost much to swap it out for a bath but will have obviously spent money on the shower enclosure... a little galling maybe but not too problematic. @Ann - thanks Ann, it’s good to know others are doing the same with smaller size bathrooms. I do think ultimately it would feel a little more roomy - and I would love to have a mirror over the sink again!...See MoreBathroom Tile Design help!
Comments (2)Hi Poonam, I think it will not look strange at all as long as the transition starts where the bath finishes just like the shower side. The symmetry will make it look purposeful. If it still bothers you, then maybe consider not tiling the remainder of that wall?...See Morebathroom design help!
Comments (3)It looks as if the floor is microcement. I think I can see lines on the walls so assume tiles. If you choose a rectified tile I think the grout can go down to 1mm. if microcement is too much faff or expense I’m sure concrete effect tiles would look just as good...See Morejordan427
