Great songs guys! I think everyone else is feeling a little shy so I'll go too, For me, it's a tough call - I love Otis Redding's White Christmas and The Beach Boys Little Saint Nick, but it's Last Christmas by Wham that takes the title, what a tune!

The venetian blinds are very nice...had some like that in the last place from Hilarys blinds, might shop around for something like those. The other ones...what's the name for that type of pull down blind? They look good but not sure how they would offer privacy and still let the light in. Will check ikea storage boxes too. They are too pricey but really like these from John Lewis: http://www.johnlewis.com/minene-large-striped-storage-box-blue Cannot really justify around £250 on several storage boxes though....having a look for any on ebay but no joy yet. I agree with Man About the House. If you can create a structure to cover up the whole of the fireplace, not only would this provide a centralised focal point, but it would also conceal the rather dated fire surround, giving you a blank canvas to then do what you want. No rules, but I’m not a fan of different paints on different walls in one area, let alone adding wallpaper into the mix, but then that’s just me. I would go one colour throughout.
