recently rennovated a house, opened kitchen up to flow into lounge/family room. didn't factor dining area in because we have wide breakfast bar, however, this is full to capacity with resident family, so no flexibility to invite people round to eat. we have a separate front lounge but dont want to make this dining area as whole idea was to be able to communicate with guests/family from kitchen. thinking bout small ish dining table with benches that can to tucked away beneath but dont want it to look like the after thought that it is. seems odd to place dining table on carpet. how can i make this look natural/planned/seamless?
