I think because you have the length/depth of the desk, I would suggest running the lighting behind the desk (so similar to your final example but running in the L shape!). This is what it looks like now, we’ve not touched this room since we moved in ;( we had some brill ideas on the initial post, unfortunately I’m still stuck on the layout, Ive got to keep the same sofa and flooring (and patio doors) for costs but everything else can go but can’t seem to do anything with the layout, I hate this room :((
