It is up to you how can you see it, timeless or no. It is a classical piece and I could see it used as a dining chair and actually many people does that.

Let your home reflect your personal taste and style! Besides I've seen many interiors where the most chair was used as a dining chair, I very much like the style too.

Hello MsJacqueline, Personally I don't think the idea of what is in fashion should dictate what is liked... I think if you love them still (if you already have them that is) then there are ways of feeling love for your furnishings, even if you have had them for years.. New backdrop..walls.. new placement.. etc etc

For a dining room I would use those at the head of the table only and then mix with a non armchair style.. or mixed chair.. They are gr8 on a dark background too .. : ))

I definetly agree that "Fashions fade, only style remains the same." Your absolutley all righ twith regards to using something you love regardless of whether its a trend or not.

Go for it. I have 6 Kartell 'Ghost' chairs around my dining table (which is zebrano type wood) and they not only look great but are extremely comfy - even after the longest laziest lunches! My tip would be to mix up the colours of the chairs to avoid a somewhat severe look.

To AJ & Ms J - the top chair in AJ's contribution is very similar to an amazing Cat Chair I'm considering buying! Do you have a cat Ms J? Designer chairs for felines, whatever next!

@AJ Interior Styling. Think that's the one, FAB name if it is. The similar cat version is the somewhat more reasonably priced 'Retro Pet Nest' on Zooplus (£79). It's amazing, in clear or grey, and I've also recently bought 2 cosy nests which are wall mounted and 2 floor hammocks.

My friend - Emily Hiller - does 'knotting' and has just made 2 garden swing chairs. She did all the flagship and main 'Top Shop' windows amongst others and they are amazing. I'm going to get her to do a 'curtain' for one of my rooms. She's just been asked to do a hotel on the Maldives. Her work is breathtaking, bespoke and original, so do take a look.

Just looked at the 'Retro Pet Nest' on Zooplus makes me wish I had a cat. Its very chic!

@ MsJ And much cheaper than the grown up version. I can help you out with a couple of Burmese puss cats as need, due to ill health, to re-home some of my 8. Sad but to the right person it would be the best thing to do.

@ AJ - only way to be! I, too am very particular and love the unusual and, sometimes, somewhat off the wall.
