A carpenter would make that existing basin fit into a purpose made cabinet and then get a worktop.

I think it will be fine. Here is a photo of mine. The unit is 92 cm from floor. Then basin approx 7cm. I did choose a shallower basin than you are suggesting as everyone told me it would be too high. Pleased to report it isn’t!

Different companies may use "matte" and "satin" interchangeably, so always worth looking at actual samples to get a feel for any given finish. As to whjich to pick - it is really just a matter of personal taste. There are some excellent super-matte finishes on the market which guard against fingerprints and satin paint finishes can give a real quality feel. Have a good look at the construction of any units, especially at seams and edges - there can be a big difference in quality of finish & type of construction! Also with brass & bronze finishes - these can vary quite a bit, so always make sure you get the handles & taps together before deciding, to make sure they are a good match.
