The bath is the Barcelona by V+A Baths.

We are luck to have showers and a bath. Showers are great, space and time wise, but IMHO you can't beat the luxury of having a bath. Our neighbours had their bath taken out and had a massive shower put in (I've never asked why ;-)) and although its beautiful they do miss having a bath installed. Best of luck.

How about a vision blind or just plain horizontal blinds as they can be angled meaning that you can see out but others can't see in. You do have a couple of houses that can see straight in so my suggestion for the long term would be to turn your attnetion to the planting in your garden. As long as the neighbours can see directly in you will need to block out the view from the bath itself. You have plenty of room at the bottom of the garden to get creative. Furthermore you could pot plant a hedge on the balcony directly outside to hide you when in the bath and have a motorised blind which you close down for getting in and out. If there is nothing above the bathroom a velux roof light will also allow star gazing.

Will it be Ok if your future 15 year old daughter is walking downstairs in pjs to have a shower at 11am on morning because she prefers the shower downstairs? What’s the route to the shower in relation to public space where you are entertaining friends? will guests have to queue to use the loo while she is bathing? We have en-suite with stand alone bath with hand held shower and separate cave shower - luxury by previous owner. Bath rarely used but looks amazing. Our teenagers share main bathroom with shower over bath. As Johnathan says speed is the essence of the game - bath rarely used by eldest only, shower is their preference. Another question is whether you are in forever home, or may sell in the future - bath preferred by families with very small children and many families see altering bathroom to reinstall bath with power shower for adults a game changer due to expense. The answer to your issue must include how your family like to bathe, the future of your home and the position of your downstairs bathroom.

Can i give a shout out to the good old fashioned shower curtain. After years of wanting a bathroom revamp in what looks a similar sized bathroom to yours, I was delighted to have a sliding shower screen installed. It's two glass panels and swings out to clean the bath and for ease if access and does a pretty good job of keeping the water in. But I hate it. It's an absolute nightmare to clean and once achieved (with great difficulty and a mixture of scratch sponges and old toothbrushes) then keep looking clean. The gunge that builds up in places you can't see until you get your head under the bottom silicone strips is horrible and I'm constantly having to unscrew these to clean them thoroughly. If I could go back to a shower curtain, without damaging my tiles I'd do it tomorrow! I miss chucking it in the washing machine then buying a new one for under a tenner when it got a bit ratty or I fancied a new colour /style . I'm happy to try and find you the link (amazon if I remember correctly) if you're fixed on a screen because I think I chose the best I could have for my bathroom but just thought it might be worth mentioning before you go ahead with your bathroom update.
