Thanks Gina. The 2nd one down is Crushed cotton 1 by Dulux. I do like the combination with blue wall as well as the tiles to be honest. But it's much more pink than grey (although I do keep saying to my partner that it is a pinkish grey to stop him rejecting it :D). I've attached another picture. Yes a mirror is a must on that wall and some artwork too. Have got a gold ornate mirror ready to hung somewhere but not sure if it'll go with the kitchen scheme. We'll see when it comes to it. Dining table a coordinating chairs will hopefully disappear soon once the budget allows new ones :) I can repaint in the meantime I guess. Ok the plan is I'll get few more greige samples and calamine and maybe a lighter shade of Crushed cotton as this one is too pink for my partner to digest I'm afraid :( and the fabric sample.

The French Grey from Little Green does look pretty grey - . I find Portland Stone from LG warmer, more of a greige colour - could work with the little mosaic that seems to have grey and beige in it. It's prolly worth painting A4 samples of a couple of colours though, as just looking at the tiny rectangles on a paint chart are too small to decide.

Hi Diana If you want to address the flooring, you could break up the brown by using a vinyl 'rug' on top of the existing Amtico. Graham & Green do a lovely one (https://www.grahamandgreen.co.uk/moroccan-tile-mats) And there are lots of other less costly versions around (try e.g. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/251849071/floor-vinyl-rug-vinyl-mat-tiles-pattern?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=vinyl mat&ref=sr_gallery_22) You could then choose the wall colour to tie in with whichever rug you choose. Alternatively, you could go for a warm grey tone that will work well with the marble and still be warm enough to carry the floor. Something like Farrow & Ball Cornforth White (although I would definitely get a tester of this before committing to it - it has a remarkable ability to change colour depending on the light in your room!). Such an interesting room full of gorgeous pictures and books. I love books! Now colours that I think would look lovely with your blue curtains are the soft pastels - green, pink and pale yellow, but you want a deep cosy colour so let’s move on! I’m a little bit obsessed with dirty pinks at the moment, a world away from Barbie pink so don’t panic. Colours like F&B Setting Plaster or Little Greene’s Dorchester Pink, or Blush which is much darker and cosier. I also like deep stone colours such as LG Roman Plaster, or if you wanot to go even darker, Silt looks nice, very organic tones. I’ll try and find some pics. I’ve no idea how to photoshop, but I’m sure someone will!
