wall colour dilemma
Comments (1)Hi. You could try a warm stone which would lessen the contrast between the sofas and ŵalls. As the room is light farrow and ball elephants breath should work really well. It will also go with the plum accents....See MoreHELP! Colour dilemma - what colour walls with a beech unit?
Comments (3)Might sound crazy but a subtle two tone might work not colour blocking but a gradual subtle shade diff a soft off white blue grey teal on top that will not fight against the very bright white window frames and keeping a small room light.. and then getting to a soft blue grey darker teal colour with a soft graded border. And consider painting the unit soft white with an all surface soft white mat or soft sheen paint. Pop up a large piece B&W family photo or a family picked piece of wall art or something wacky like a giant gold fish on a white background framed in a thin bright orange frame and job done...or look up dark snugs/dens with rich bold colours can work well if done correctly .. good luck.....See MoreDilemma with Kitchen wall paint
Comments (16)Hi. The kitchen looks beautiful. I agree with Jen that it needs a shelf/shelves on the sink wall. I'd go for something matching the mantel shelf and paint in the cabinet colour. I wouldn't go too wide or it will be competing with the mantle. I like the wall colour but if you want more contrast I'd get a tester for wevet which just has a hint of grey. I think the room needs warming a little with the accessories. Have a look at artisan/rustic bowls and jugs for the shelf. Bowls just stacked can be really effective. A potted herb somewhere (Neptune have a couple of nice pots). A round wooden chopping board with handle (some of the vintage french ones look great) would look good propped up against the wall. Use the white jug for some tall stems on the table (keeping the bowl there). You could look at slightly larger complementary art for either side of the mantle and an oval plate that is taller than the artichokes might work...See MoreLounge paint colour dilemma
Comments (20)I think new art is a good idea. We all like a little refresh of wall art every now and then, and I really don’t blame you. I think The Range is good for cheap and cheerful art, and surprisingly good. Wayfair are also good, and for the more special art prints I’ve found King & McGaw very stylish. Of course you could go to an art gallery and choose an original piece if budget allows. These prints are from King & McGaw:...See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
