Hello Tani I agree with Kikiamack with regards to the length of the screen, I was advised a minimum of 1.2m of glass to stop water coming out and a minimum size of 1.7m for walk in shower. I was originally going to have a walk in shower of 1.7m x 0.8m with a 1.2m of screen (0.5m gap for entry ) but then decided to have an enclosed shower instead of 1.2m x 0.8m. It's still very spacious. I know walk in showers do look great but if the screen is not long enough and water comes out all the time it will annoy you every time you have a shower. I went for the Crosswater Design sliding door shower enclosure with 8mm of glass. It has a frameless look, soft closing door and price is reasonable. They probably have a similar hinged door version. With regards to the towel rail, perhaps a small one that doesn't stick out too much, would be useful? Are you going to have any recesses in the shower area to put shampoo, shower gel etc? Where is your lighting going? I made the mistake of not doing research as beforehand and just asked the electrician to put 4 downlights in evenly spaced, now I have a very annyoying light shining down on my head when I stand by the basin and in front of my mirror - very unflattering as it creates shadows, luckily my my mirror has lights.

Our clients really like the Hudson Reed heated towel rail in chrome. It's our best seller, because of its practical ladder shape, but has a bit of a contemporary twist to it. Definitely not your average heated towel rail. Works well with contemporary or traditional bathrooms. You can also check out brands like Lazzarini or Ultra, they have great designs. https://www.designangels.co.uk/product-page/hudson-reed-electric-heated-towel-rail

Sorry I’m a bit confused by ‘power point’ and ‘socket’ - do you mean where the switch for it is or where the power cable comes through the wall? When we had ours fitted, the electrician said the switch had to be outside the bathrooms for safety reasons. The power cables come through at skirting board level as that’s where they fix to the towel rails.

I would look into microcement so you can have the same surface all over - will make the space feel less cluttered, and no grout lines. You can get it in lots of colours. I’ve never had it myself (yet) but it sounds great. For your bath, you may find you need to chop out some plaster to get the bath in, and then re plaster around. I’ve done this before with a 1600 bath in a tiny bathroom. How much space do you have apart from the bath space? Is the door in the corner - if so then you only have 800 of wall to play with? If that’s the case it’s going to be very tight fitting a loo and sink in there, you might need to look at those loos with a sink on top of the cistern although they look awkward. Definitely re hang the door to open outwards!
