Although not a neutral, a gorgeous deep mustard (or olive for a more neutral look) would look great with a dark wood floor whilst keeping a bright feel! Depends how brave you are and what your other furniture would be.. Will only really work with a large amount of natural light mind you (big windows or lots of them).. Good luck with the move!

Neptune colour or F&B colours would probably be a good place to start - to me - this looks like Charlestone Grey from F&B . But the simplistic look here is down to the lack of wallpaper ! Not adding it ! So maybe use your wallpaper as a flourish for inside your wardrobe or as a mount for art work - but avoid putting it on the walls. Simple panelling like this is easy to recreate with the aid of MDF and a helpful member of staff (at B&Q) who will happily cut the MDF to size for you ! Just design it to scale to suit your room and work out the lengths you need from big sheets - or if you walls a good - just add the strips to create the look !

I’m thinking navy walls. I know it’s very popular at the moment, and everyone is choosing it, but it does create a cosy room and as you have so much natural light it could work. Do you like dark shades? Not sure what style you may like, traditional, country, glam, Scandi, boutique, but here’s a few ideas of navy and some other softer shades. Love the pale grey with a hint of blush pink too!
