Comments (26)Is this your only Reception space Rose? Have you got 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, this room and a small hallway? I love all the suggestions above and I'm also wondering how soon you are thinking of putting the property on the market? It might help with some of your decisions. This living space is trying to do an awful lot of things so you might want to consider if there's room in your bedroom for a home office. But if you're not putting your home on the market for 12 months say, you have to consider where the best place is to work in the meantime. If this was possible though, the TV could then go in the the right hand alcove and perhaps free up some space for a small (extending?) dining table by the patio doors like your neighbours have. It doesn't really matter how you live (we all live for comfort and our own convenience) but when it comes to photographing your property and showing it, that when the homestaging needs to start. Then I'd be looking to put as many of the baby stuff in the nursery (even the pram if no room in the hallway) except the high chair which could go in the kitchen, if room, or around a small dining table if you think that's an option. I've got friends who have put a pram and baby walker in their neighbours house and stuffed the car boot with stuff to give the impression of more space when having viewers. 😂...See MoreHelp with design of tiny garden!!
Comments (18)Glad it helped. sorry I’m having a moment, do you mean you’re building a wall where the fence currently is with your neighbour? in terms of seating material as the garden isn’t wide I don’t know if I’d go for a dark’ish colour to make it feel bigger. I know this one doesn’t have storage but I like the combo with wood to add texture. If you did mean building a wall then I like the fence in the 2nd pic as an alternative. Final question, are the bamboos going into built in beds within the seating? If so, you may want to think about space available. I don’t know if they need less space than other plants but the “bed” along with the seat, table and kitchen may overwhelm the garden. It may be worth masking it out. This first pic has also reminded me of lighting!...See MoreI have tiny enclosed kitchen and need help choosing flooring
Comments (12)I’m thinking of practicality. It is amazing how quickly a kitchen floor can look dirty. The patterned tiles above would be good for this. I chose oak boards in a distressed finish for mine, it was this or a light ceramic tile. I’ve never regretted it, the boards never look dirty ( the ceramic bathroom tiles as chosen do however take time to keep clean and show every piece of hair)....See MoreJeanette Sitton
