Need help with tiny girl room.
Comments (22)Hi, lots of good ideas already submitted. A loft or cabin bed will help make good use of smaller spaces, or an Ikea Hemnes daybed will extend out for sleepovers and has lots of storage space too. With a small space, I'd definitely go for white furniture and keep the style quite simple. Fitted furniture also worth considering if budget allows. If you are looking to "future proof" the room for when your daughter is older, consider a study bed such as those from www.studybed.co.uk - not cheap, but great use of limited space and will last well into teen years. Wrt walls - I'd keep it really simple as others suggest with offwhite or light grey walls and then add colour with soft furnishings. Of you want to add some girly interest to walls without breaking the bank, try the idea below - a couple of inexpensive stencils (butterflies here) and some tester pots of paint in nice contrasting colours....See MoreTiny galley kitchen leading into small utility area -terraced house

Comments (23)Love it! Bright and imaginative, must be fun to be in there now! I like the different coloured door knobs, very clever. What colour yellow did you use for the cupboards? And where did you get the flooring (or is it painted?)?...See Morehelp! cluttered tiny living room
Comments (26)Is this your only Reception space Rose? Have you got 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, this room and a small hallway? I love all the suggestions above and I'm also wondering how soon you are thinking of putting the property on the market? It might help with some of your decisions. This living space is trying to do an awful lot of things so you might want to consider if there's room in your bedroom for a home office. But if you're not putting your home on the market for 12 months say, you have to consider where the best place is to work in the meantime. If this was possible though, the TV could then go in the the right hand alcove and perhaps free up some space for a small (extending?) dining table by the patio doors like your neighbours have. It doesn't really matter how you live (we all live for comfort and our own convenience) but when it comes to photographing your property and showing it, that when the homestaging needs to start. Then I'd be looking to put as many of the baby stuff in the nursery (even the pram if no room in the hallway) except the high chair which could go in the kitchen, if room, or around a small dining table if you think that's an option. I've got friends who have put a pram and baby walker in their neighbours house and stuffed the car boot with stuff to give the impression of more space when having viewers. 😂...See More- 10 years ago
