Comments (10)I would try https://www.modern-rugs.co.uk/ who do a large range of rugs at large or custom sizes. The blinds are beautiful, I would definitely pick a colour from there. I would start with this as it's the biggest expense. Once you have this can then determine which colours would work best for the cushions. Comments (1)In my opinion it depends on budget. The best option is to take off the wood cladding and coving and then get a plasterer in. The budget option is to sugar soap these walls to ensure there is no wallpaper paste residue, then fill and sand any cracks and also use decorators calk to fill cracks in corners and next to woodwork. Then you need to mist coat the walls which is basically a watered down coat of paint. When that is dry it will need two rollered coats of emulsion (3 if it’s a strong colour). A very flat Matt paint shows imperfections least. After the first coat of paint check it for any bits that might need more filling. Comments (3)You already have a lovely cosy carpet. I agree with Carolina that a footstool/ottoman would look lovely in the middle. The ones with storage are very useful. I have one and you can get loads in it! They can be used as a coffee table (with a tray) or you can rest your tired feet on it....See More- 10 years agoHmm well as grey is "in" then John Lewis or IKEA will do plenty at a reasonable price - I would try something with a bit of pattern to break it up a bit. The attached photo is JL's Fusion Moon Berber rug.

- 10 years agoHaha no I think it looks like a lovely calm space (I saw the photos in the other post too)! Funnily enough I was going to suggest a toned down blue or purple before you said you were looking at grey. If you could do a bit of colour this might be nice:

- 10 years agoI like Minnie101's suggestion, with the grey one perhaps something like that silvery border but all over would be nice? Or a tone on tone pattern. Next has some nice ones at the moment.

PRO10 years agoWe have lots of rugs on Hutsly too but I would suggest this one:
It's in an Ash Grey with a faded pattern and ombré effect. It's quite subtle while still having an edge to it with the faded effect. It's also a bit darker than the rest of your decor which will bring contrast without having to go for colours. It's available here. It also comes in blue should you feel daring :

It's made of jute which is a texture that would actually be perfect for your space and again it's not in crazy colours while still having something interesting about it. Available here.

- 10 years agoI'm biased but I really like dark pink with grey. The other (much bigger) couch in this room is grey as are the walls - I felt it was a bit too dull..
