Hi, your open plan space is perfect for something like this contemporary floor lamp. In terms of the chandelier, I would go for something like this one Something which is layered and interesting. It can be copper, not necessarily glass. I also think that you should have a small sidetable with a table lamp. I know you said you like Kelly Hoppen style, which I can see you are taking lots of inspiration from. However, you should create a space which reflects your personality which you can do through textures and patterns. So when you are in the final stage pulling everything together just bare this in mind. Her spaces are luxurious, elegant and chic but you should find your style within. Hi Mutleyz. glass splash backs are great and easy to clean. you could go for a white sparkle one adds a bit of fun but doesn't tie you into a colour. I would put roman blinds at the windows and door clean and simple in keeping with minimalist styling. Lime and teal with be lovely a good choice and lots of options, harlequin, sanderson, prestigious,villa nova, all good fabric companies you should find something there. John Lewis stock most of their ranges or if you have a local curtain maker ask her I am sure she will be reasonable making made to measure. or simple plain fabrics with a contrast border. with the dining sitting space dilemma which would get used more? are you likely to sit in the kitchen? or would you go to the living room for that? I would lean to putting in a dining table. Although you say you wont use it, it is surprising how much you will. If you have friends or family over for dinner you will need a table. If you don't have one you are restricted, if you want a comfy chair you do have the lounge anyway. and yes Cif if great for stainless steel. I use the plain one in the yellow bottle and it is the best. hope some of that helps, but you are doing great so far.

It's more of a relaxing subtle range - designed to coordinate with her range of paints etc - to liven things up - you might need strong colours - maybe a bed throw /cushions in a vibrant colour ?

Thank you for that - the room is quite dark as it has a conservatory on the end - at the moment very stark as you can see in these pics - the red suite is staying, there will be a new light fitting and brass/gold sockets. I have bought a huge gold mirror for the chimney breast and the runner was going directly above the fire - it's normal wallpaper roll width.
