I would have to agree with Man About The House, if you put something above the tv it may start to look over crowded.

I think what you currently have looks great!

I'd have to agree with the comments above, I think it looks odd because the tv, lamps and desk are at low level giving quite a large expanse of space above. In hindsight, it may have looked better hanging the tv higher up the wall. I know this doesn't help you now as you've already decorated and hiding cables behind the wall probably isn't an option.

It would look better with long shelves above the tv rather than putting pictures above, otherwise it will be distracting when watching tv.

Shelves the same length as the cabinet at the bottom will give cemetery and also the light will bounce off the underside and light up the area a little more too.

I agree with the shelves, and would add that you could always rest photos on top of them if you wanted.

Agree with all above saying nothing on the wall, but feel the layout on the cabinet just a tad too symmetric. Try grouping either side with different sized objects/photo frames, or even put TV off centre?

I too agree. Try grouping of different sizes shape and and introduce a pop of colour eith s photoframe, vase etc. It does feel a little samey.

leave it alone, looks great. If anything perhaps a sound bar if required.

I think that if you have to do anything then get a slightly larger TV and get rid of the photo frames each side of the TV. I think that is all that is needed. Putting the TV on the wall would involve a lot of expense and work when you have already decorated.

Also, I do not think putting pictures on patterned wallpaper is quite right. They should go on a plain wall only.

Its fine as it is. Don't add anything else to your wall. Personally, I love symmetry.

I think the problem is the top line of the lamps and TV are all practically the same height which makes it look harsh and boxy. I'd try something much taller one side of the TV ie an onion light or tall vase with some modern floral/stick arrangement that could drape outwards slightly across the top of the TV, thereby softening and filling the void above it, then something much lower the other side. The lamps you have could hopefully be used elsewhere as they are lovely. Just a thought...

Can I make this wall as a feature wall with the tv there? Also, I need to get a tv unit to place the sky box in and sit the sound bar on . Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated
