Modus Kitchens

We recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Nilgun at Modus Kitchens on Chamberlayne Road. We were misled into believing that the shop was closing mid March 2024 and were given only two weeks to dismantle and collect the a ex display kitchen kitchen we were interested in To our surprise, today on 29/05/2024 the kitchen is still on display and has not been sold. Our attempts to negotiate a fair price were met with repeated rejections, accompanied by claims that the owner had already agreed to Nilgun's terms. This approach felt disingenuous and left us feeling deceived. The customer service we received was far below expectations. Nilgun's behavior was unhelpful and insincere, leading us to lose trust in the business. We have decided to leave negative reviews on every platform associated with Modus Kitchens to warn potential customers about our experience. Furthermore, we plan to contact the owner directly to voice our concerns about how our case was handled. Although we are happy to have found a beautiful new kitchen elsewhere, our encounter with Modus Kitchens was unfortunately marred by poor customer service and dishonesty. Would stay away. We ordered several kitchen appliances through them. Received the wrong goods. We explicitly asked for a left hinged door and they are now hiding behind the fact that the SKU number refers to a right hinged fridge. Even though the picture on the website is left hinged and we asked for a left hinged one. Why use these guys in that case? Might as well order online! They also insist on illegal business terms. For example insisting on receiving the original packaging back, which is in violation of U.K. law. Overall deeply disappointing.

I have never written a terrible review but this company has to have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been hoping this company would finally step up and do what they said they would do. First the kitchen I ordered was a month late as it was not ordered before the employee went on leave, there was no apology.. "just oh well. I purchased through them about 18K worth of Gaggenau appliances which it turns out they are not verified to sell and can't supply the services that comes with the appliance. Still waiting for return calls and emails.

I had my new kitchen designed, supplied and fitted by Modus recently. from day one the service provided was second to none. from design through to delivery and installation. Their professional Designer; Dinesh Halai who was very generous with his time went out of his way to help us visualise what the end product will look like and was very knowledgeable in his specialist subject and products available. Suppliers and deliver men were very observant and identified damaged product for which we had immediate replacement. Overall, we are both very happy with service provided by Modus and would definitely recommend their excellent services. Thank you very much to all at Modus

It is hard to believe that our kitchen is almost 5 years old since it looks just like the day it was installed. Modus resolved all our kitchen problems providing us with vast storage as well as top quality and stylish units. We are so pleased, and enjoy this kitchen everyday.

Kitchen units bought in 2011 - German make - been 6 years now- good build and durability, still looks as good as new. Happy with the purchase.

We redid our kitchen in 2014. It required a total redesign, including a new wood floor (plus insulation), new window and new french doors. Our designer at Modus, Leslie, worked with us over several months and many iterations to come up with the final version. We were working around a large teak dresser that we wanted to keep. In the end we chose German cabinetry, a Miele slim-line fridge freezer, Bosch dishwasher and 5-burner Rangemaster Professional. There is an island cabinet with three draws and an end cupboard plus slimline cupboard with a splendid Nordic wood table attached. I chose 4 high chairs from John Lewis to match. The Rangemaster is flanked by cupboards and we have one two-shelved cabinet on the wall. The island is red and the other cabinets cream with silver handles. The splash back is red to match the central island. We were very satisfied with the builders and installers too. They were polite, clean and efficient. The project came in on time and on budget. The only hiccup was the Rangemaster which we bought from Curry's and they did not tell us that it would required special wiring and a new fusebox. Everything Modus promised, they delivered and we are extremely happy, 3 years on, with the kitchen.

We were introduced via a family member and previous customers of Modus. We were very impressed that the designer not only looked at the kitchen idea but the whole ground floor layout thereby giving us the idea of incorporating a utility room, an idea which we never thought off. We were grateful that the designer and staff were helpful and patient throughout the process and the aftercare has also been invaluable. We are so happy with our kitchen and would recommend Modus in an instant!

I have used Modus kitchens four times; on every occasion they have more than risen in the excellence of design and installation They are the best!!

Our kitchen was designed and fitted by Modus Kitchens and I could not be happier. They redesigned the layout to maximise storage and used glass splash backs to enhance the natural light and bring a hint of colour. During the fitting the fitter suggested he build us a wine rack in what otherwise would be wasted space it was an unexpected but a fantastic bonus!!
