Advise on kitchen splashback / tiles please
Comments (28)Pity you have decided against glass in favour of tiles. We have just done our kitchen and I wanted an easy-to-clean surface for the splash back, so the rough surface of grouting around tiles, and also the indentations on some patterned tiles (which collect grease and grime) ruled them out for me! I went for glass, which the manufacturers matched exactly to the duck egg paint colour on the other walls (just gave them a product code of the paint), and although the initial outlay for the glass was expensive, the surface is so brilliant to keep clean and it looks fab as well. I would definitely recommend, and you could match it to, say, your lovely pink/purple ceiling lights ......See MoreSplashback help!
Comments (53)Just to offer a different view point. Your floor tiles look amazing. Why not flow the idea through and use tiles of that ilk as your splashblack. We have just recently finished a kitchen with a similar feel and our client opted for patterned wall tiles as their splashback. Based on your comment about the floor being chosen to banish boredom If you are worried about carrying through more of the same tones and want to inject colour, you could always do this through your accessories, that way if you fancy a change.... The colour tones you have chosen provide a great canvas on which to complement or have fun with colour....See MoreChoosing paint colours!
Comments (18)Sal, Your kitchen looks beautiful! Its such a pain having to choose colours but I guess its definately worth it at the end. Going to order some test pots today and try as suggested. I like the feel mellow mocha gave to your kitchen - bounces back light and the contrast on the other side of the wall - the copper blush! Looking at doing something similar but want whatever colour I choose to flow through our lounge (its open plan) without 'breaking' the feel- if you get what I mean! Thanks, will defo post pics once done....See MoreHelp with Kitchen splashback/Wall protection
Comments (18)Hi Amy, Have a look here, it is our splashback and other glassworks catalogues: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lNMo-zjO2Qm1domfNMNmhrBYxmX23d6x/view?usp=sharing We do all of the splashbacks by UV printing method, you might want to learn more about it before buying splashback because if you will be going for printed one, there are many cheap alternatives that i.e. require reprinting in few years. UV Printing lasts for 70+ years. Moreover, by UV you can also do the plain colour splashback that you initially decided for, but it is going to be slightly cheaper. Have a look on pricing here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232760255417 Are you looking for some samples or real pictures? I can have a walk through our workshop with a camera as we have one (60x60cm) black splashback in stock waiting to be posted. #Edit: Toughened and Heat resistant is a must-have feature! Otherwise, it will not usually last for longer than few weeks, it is too easy to smash annealed glass (standard type)....See MoreCroydon Window Company Ltd
