Right, my en suite bathroom - do your worst!
Comments (132)They are lovely handles Patrina. I'm having a bit of a handle issue since the holes in the pull handles on the four drawers are 83mm centre to centre and there are not many options with that sizing in brushed brass. I've found a couple of possibilities from china but with the problems there I'm not sure how long they will take to arrive....See MoreNeed help with ideas for ensuite / walk in closet
Comments (15)Oh wow, impressive space you have there! It's huge! And thank you - I love my house too :)) Plus I agree with you on the dining room - only good for dusting :)) Regarding wood vs carpet: we chose Engineered Character Oak in brushed oil - mainly because, having to completely renovate the house, we decided to go for underfloor heating top to bottom; and engineered wood is apparently the best type of wood to use with it. Therefore, carpeting was out for us however, even with central heating, we would've probably gone for wooden flooring and a lush rug. But that is a personal preference; as with the en-suites, I have rather strong opinions against carpet, so I don't think I'm the best person to advise you in this respect. (hmmm, now I'm starting to get what hubby means about me being high maintenance...) Sorry I couldn't help more, I'll try to do better in the future :))...See MorePOLL: En suite bathroom - yay or nay?

Comments (7)The thing to bear in mind is that you are talking about putting a freestanding bath in one of these rooms. Most properties would have a shower in the En-suite and a bath in the Bathroom,, yes, but this is because a normal bath would be able to have a shower over it and a shower screen which will mean that anyone using that room will have the option of either bath/shower. A freestanding bath is slightly different because it is very difficult to put a shower over a freestanding bath. You can get combined ones that have a shower with them or ones that look freestanding at the front but are fitted into a corner which you can put a curtain and a shower over, but they are few and far between. You really need to think about who will be likely to be using each room and what they would prefer. If it is going to be for guests and you don't know then really the best option for ease of use is to have a bath with shower over in the Main Bathroom. You can then decide whether you want a bath or a shower in your En-Suite depending on what you prefer to use. If you are local to me in York I can draw some plans up for you if you send me the dimensions. Let me know Vicky...See MoreOnePlan
