Depends what you want to do with the room, budget and if you want to stick to black and/or white? Pearl shaggy rugs are a great thick and plush range and they have a black which could work. There's also a similar but heavier and considerably more expensive range called Plush. On the more budget friendly end there's things like Santa Cruz, Whisper, Twilight, Rio... the list is endless style dependant.

Presuming you are keeping the colour scheme the same anything from a Black, Slate or Silver Plush at the top end to more affordable Santa Cruz Boardwalk if you want more than one colour and more affordable.

Floors in kitchens get messy and need regular wipe overs. So a rug would be more work to keep clean. It could also be a slip hazard if rushing about. The only good thing about having a rug is that it keeps the feet warm in winter. To avoid cold feet, I wear thick bootee slippers in winter. Hence no rug in my kitchen even though there are so many lovely rugs out there. I just don't want the extra hassle.
