yes we do, ours is from OKITE (Italian brand) in 'Bianco carrera' is a slightly marbly white, it creates more interest than just plain white and hides any marks or shadows too:). the only stains that seem to have stayed so far are stubborn limescale. we have had it 2 years and although I wipe it well everyday, our London limescaled water has left a few shadows below washing up drying rack. my cleaning product is white vinegar for limescale, and any Detoll/bacteria spray is great for after cooking. It wipes beautifully using a microfibre cloth. It always feels cold like stone does, (which is great for pastry making) and bounces light beautifully.

Mystic Home would you mind telling me where you got your worktops from? I am looking for that exact thing at the moment and I'm getting very varying quotes that are way more than I was expecting. Do you feel it was worth the investment? Thanks!

We've used Arenastone in a few of our kitchens and love it! We normally used Bianco Venato but for a pure white they have Bianco Puro or Bianco Brilliante which look amazing and have a great durability.

A couple ideas..

mjp33: We got it thru a kitchen company I cannot recommend as they messed us up for 6 weeks getting wrong colour units or scratched ones, wrong appliances and the worktop took 6 weeks to arrive instead of 1. However the worktop independent company was based in Manchester, called 'Manchester Marble '(who also work for that kitchen company but they do private work), the worktop you see in our kitchen with installation cost us just over 2K. yes it was worth it. It adds luxury/value compare to fake, and does not react to any oils,wine or juices, unlike marble/granite. If you have any other practical Q, fire away.

I need to justify the cost to myself ;) Also very helpful to get the price as I think the quotes I am getting (£1,500 to £1,800) might be a bit steep for a smaller kitchen (from what I can see from your photos) with two unpolished cut outs. I have now looked into Compac Absolute Blanc (thank you Tamp75 for recommending) and the reviews are very positive. I've received a few quotes and these are coming in about £500 cheaper than the Silestone. I've ordered samples and will test them out with tea bags, red wine (its a great excuse to open a bottle ;-)) etc. I'll report back on how it goes!

A bit of a late update I know, but just in case anyone out there is having the same dilemma I had a month ago... So I tested out all the pure white quartz samples I had and found that the Silestone and Compac came out best. Out of the two I think that Compac Blanco is the slightly brighter white (although there is very little difference). This is the one I went for in the end. The worktops have been fitted for about two weeks now and I am so pleased with them - they look beautiful! And stains and spills have so far come up without any effort - I would highly recommend!

Have a look at Corian Natural Stone range. Its the most hardwearing although it can be more expensive.
