In barns, yes

Any decent carpenter/joiner should be able to manufacture them for you.

I really like them; only just started seeing them in the UK.

I see them mainly in industrial conversions in London, either trad but distressed, or with a metal or glass twist, and they work really well.

Barn doors work well in any rustic interior providing you have enough wall space to slide one or a pair back.

We have a sliding bathroom door, which when can afford it, will have a barn door.

Out of interest where are the metal runners from?

I love the look of barn doors; they can look industrial, country cottage, and modern where glass is used instead of wooden doors. Plus they're practical where space might be limited within a room. We're about to put an 8ft one into our redesigned kitchen/dining area, but we're struggling to find long enough and substantial enough hardware. There are lots of US sites but they don't always deliver to the UK, so any advice from Houzzers on where to find heavy duty hardware from companies that deliver to the UK would be appreciated.
