Definitely had a glass shade. What your looking for is a replacement with a neck so the lip sits on top of the screws. We've installed one in our bedroom, husband designed and fitted it himself. I was the second pair of hands when needed! Wasn't hard to do but lots of helpful stuff on YouTube. We used LED strips, which along with the transformers weren't cheap but we're really pleased with the result. Good luck. Angie

I have a long living room dining room with two of these lights, one at each side. Any ideas for a pair of wall lights that would complement these? I plan to have one at each side of the room (either side of a chimney breast which has the TV mounted to it). This particular ceiling light is brushed nickel, but would it be okay to have antique brass wall lights? Not sure if mixing metals would be an issue here. Any suggestions would be very welcome!
